Each provider has a different number, but it turns out there are a few lines in SMSC numbering.   This number is not  just an arbitrarily arranged number, but has its own meaning.

SMSC consists of hexadecimal numbers that have a specific arrangement and arbitrarily open a number arrangement. The following are the numbering rules in the hexadecimal service center message singkat.

  1. At the beginning of the number, a country code

As you  can see  on the newly replaced SMSC Telkomsel , it now has Indonesia country code +62.  For other country codes it is obviously different, you can see the list of numbering codes from each country.

  1. A national or international code

For this code, you can see it in the number after country code. The code for the number of short message service center belonging to the national provider is 81, while internationally it is 91.

  1. Inverted No.

If you pay attention to all numbers of the short message service center in Indonesia, then their number has almost the same number, only the location is reversed. In addition, the number used is very simple. Like SMSC, Telkomsel has just changed it.

  1. Add that letter F by

The letter F at the service center number is done if there is a non-connected number on the hexadecimal number. Thus, adding the letter F can complete a series of hexadecimal numbers.

How to change SMS Telkomsel

Some of you may still be confused about how to change the number of the short message service center. So we will explain it to those of you who are currently having problems   sending SMS.

  1. Create SMS app oop

The first thing to do  is open the  app for sending short messages on your phone.

  1. Open the settings menu

After opening the application, you now need to open the settings menu on the application. You need to select other settings and select settings in the text message.

  1. See Message Center section

Once you select a text message, it will automatically display the message center part. Make sure the number listed in the section is aligned with Telkomsel SMSC and then change it now.

If it turned out that it did not fit, you can replace it yourself with the number +6281100000. So, again, your SMS activities will run smoothly.

Find out more aboutSMSC

If you think that SMSC is a human being who performs complex tasks while sending your messages, then you are deeply mistaken. Because SMSC is a combination of hardware and software technology.

Although people will definitely implement it, but of course it is only necessary if there are obstacles and maintenance. As a device, SMSC must be reliable  to minimize interference in sending messages.

One of the things that is causing Telkomsel’s SMSC number to be replaced now is to consider a new, more reliable device with morecotton and high throbbing ghput. In addition, this level should be able to  scale SMS to be more accommodating.

This short message service center now can’t just communicate with other messages. The reason for this is that with the rapid development of technology across servers, this short message service center can communicate with the SMPP protocol.

An easy example is that the number you use can not only be used to send messages using SMS, but can also be used to send messages using Whatsapp or other similar applications .

How SMSC  works

In order to be able to send messages to your destination number, the process is not as easy as sending and receiving messages. The reason is that Telkomsel’s SMSC has just changed,  of course it will first send a signal to HLR using the STP signal for the message you are sending.

HLR will respond to the signal by making sure your destination number is active or not, and will specify the location of the number. If your destination number is active, the message will be sent immediately. But if the number is not active, the short message service center will keep the message.

Once the destination number is active, the HLR will send a signal to SMSC and provide its location status. The Short Message Service Center will then send your message in a point-to-point format.

When a message is sent, there will be a ‘send a message’ notification and SMSC will not send the message again.  If the short message service center is busy, the message you send will take some time to get to the destination number.

This is definitely for the  convenience of the  provider’s user. Not only when  texting, but also when sending messages with other applications that require the use of a phone number.  So  the explanation for SMSC has just changed now that you really need to understand.
